Just 15 miles west of Huntsville off I-45, our preserve spans 350 acres divided into four meticulously maintained hunting areas. Whether you’re here for a corporate event, a weekend getaway, or a guided hunt, Kisatchie Lodge offers a premier outdoor experience rooted in Southern hospitality and sporting tradition.
Kisatchie Lodge specializes in upland bird hunting and fishing only. We raise our own Pheasant, Chukar, and Quail to ensure top-quality, flight-conditioned birds. Each hunting area blends brush and open field, providing ideal cover and a variety of hunting scenarios that mimic wild bird conditions.
We offer both guided and unguided hunts:
Guided Hunts: Led by seasoned professionals, including our senior guide John Nelson, who brings a wealth of experience and passion to every outing.
Unguided Hunts: Bring your own dogs and enjoy the freedom to explore the terrain at your own pace.
Our kennel includes a range of well-trained bird dogs, and we welcome guests who prefer to hunt with their own companions.
Our signature tower shoots require a minimum of 24 participants, with 12 stations hosting two hunters each. These events are ideal for entertaining large groups and offer a dynamic, fast-paced shooting experience.
As a licensed hunting preserve, Kisatchie Lodge operates from mid-September through March. We offer morning and afternoon hunts, with options for corporate, individual, and family memberships. Dove and waterfowl hunts are available during the regular season.
Enjoy fishing in Lake Kisatchie, a 40-acre stocked lake, along with three additional ponds teeming with bass and catfish. Whether casting from the bank or launching a small boat, anglers will find plenty of action and tranquility.
Our lodge accommodates up to 12 guests and is perfect for relaxing after a day in the field. Cook your own meals on the grill or let us handle the catering. The lodge is designed for comfort, camaraderie, and connection to the land.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the hunt.
